Befriend your body

Many of us have had negative experiences with various types of healthcare. Through our work together, I help my patients rewrite internal dialogues and reestablish connection with their bodies. I love to work with patients of all ages who are seeking:

Relief from painful or irregular menstrual periods

Recovery from pelvic floor dysfunction

Relief from GI dysfunction including chronic constipation, irregular bowel movements or abnormal bloating

An easing of pain after childbirth, postoperative pain, or chronic pain

Support with family planning, fertility and preconception care

Greater fluency with sexual health

Pelvic floor therapy

In pelvic floor therapy, I take all my cues from you. Honoring the powerful emotions that are often stored in the abdomen, sessions move at your pace with constant communication. Some of my patients never feel ready for touch, and that is okay. Other tools, such as guided meditation, can form the bridge until touch feels supportive. External abdominal-uterine massage can be a comfortable next step. For those interested in pelvic floor strengthening or relaxation, internal therapy utilizing myofascial release and guided contraction and lifting exercises, commonly known as a “Kegel”, form the foundation of my approach. You might be surprised how few people need Kegels and how many more need relaxation exercises! This work manifests differently with each of my patients, and progress looks different for everyone.

Regenerative & pain management injection therapies

Injection therapy can be integral for patients experiencing various types of pain. Injections offered include prolotherapy, neural-prolo therapy, and platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Please note injection therapies are currently not covered by insurance.
